Idaho Peak Signage

Idaho Peak is one of the most spectacular hikes in BC’s Valhalla Range. A long car ride up steep mountain switch backs is rewarded by an easy single track hike through gorgeous alpine meadows up to an old fire tower with 360 degree views of the mountains, forests and lakes below. When Ministry of Tourism and Culture Director Dan Reiben approached me about working with Morraine Recreation Consulting to create interpretive signage for Idaho Peak I immediately felt inspired. The view from the peak is incredible and the hike up through alpine meadows features one of BC’s best displays of wildflowers. The goal of this project was to create a logo, brand identity and information system that would add value to a hiker’s experience while helping to preserve the area’s geographic and natural history.
